Introduction

The BC-2000 is a standalone access control,it uses the latest microprocessor technology to operate door strikes and security that require a momentary(timed) or latching dry contact closure.

All programming is done through the keypad.Codes and operating parameters are stored within the microprocessor and can not be lost due to power failure.

The BC-2000 can store 1000 users with card and 4-6 digits passward codes.It has one relay output with 3 Amp changeover contacts.

The most common security risk of an intrusion through an access control system is to simply follow a legitimate user through a door, which is called an endnote. Usually, legitimate users will provide doors for intruders. This risk can be minimized by training the user community on safety awareness or using more active means such as turnstiles. In highly secure applications, this risk can be minimized by using Sally ports (sometimes referred to as secure lobby or access control systems), where operator intervention may be required to ensure effective identification.

The second most common risk is to pry open a door. This is more difficult for doors with shock or high locking force. The fully implemented access control system includes forced access alarms. The effectiveness of these measures varies and usually fails due to high false positive alarms, poor database configuration, or lack of active intrusion monitoring. Most newer access control systems include some type of door prop alarm to notify the system administrator that the door has been opened for longer than a specified length of time.

The third most common security risk is natural disasters. In order to reduce the risk of natural disasters, the structure of the building, the quality of the network and the computer equipment are crucial. From an organizational perspective, the leader will need to adopt and implement all hazard plans, or incident response plans.
