The on-line technology ensures complete separation of the terminal equipment from the mains. The UPS is also a generating unit. From the mains via a rectifier or, in the event of a power failure, from an installed battery, an independent inverter supplies the output voltage in the form of a perfect wave without frequency fluctuations. An on-line UPS means the highest quality output current. Voltage peaks in the mains, discharges and overvoltages are not dangerous to the consumer s terminal equipment.
